MATLAB Mobile for Android

MATLAB Mobile for Android was the first mobile app I ever designed, and I was incredibly fortunate to have a significant amount of control over the project. The visual design of MATLAB Mobile for Android was evolved from the existing MATLAB iOS app and the corporate marketing website. In order to create a fluid experience for Android users, the app applied the Android design guidelines (pre-Material), yet remained visually similar to other Mathworks products.

The design process was iterative and involved a good deal of collaboration with an Android developer. With input from the MATLAB Mobile team and guidance from the MATLAB desktop interaction designer, the Android developer and I were able to design, mock, and implement the app within a relatively short timeframe.
